I'm considering it a meme, since there are no promises/obligations here. If something does inspire me, I might just write it, though.

| Just another manic Monday |

♥ I haven't posted a non-fic post this year, so I figure now is as good a time as any!
♥ The New Year's Eve party post was so much fun. There's some amazing fic in the comments, so go here to read it! There's a summary with links to each one in the post. Everything from Rose/Scorpius to Faith to Willow/Angel to Kirk/McCoy etc. Thank you to everyone who stopped in to play with us. We might need to make that a monthly party or something cause it was enjoyable.
♥ The JFK library is doing a really cool history project via Twitter. You can follow 'JFK' as he prepares for the 1960 election, and there are other key historical figures participating also, but the JFK twitter account is the official one. It's already a really interesting thing, if you're a history or political buff. More info here.
♥ I've been having a decently productive year so far. I got some writing done on 12/31 and posted a crossover that insisted I write it yesterday. andrealyn and I also finished one AU and started another on 1/1 that's nearly 20K already. Writing with her is so fun and easy, as is writing our boys in various AU situations. And, yeah, this means florahart will totally have permission to smack me for all these fics she'll be beta'ing in the future. LOL
♥ My cable is still goofy, so it's been Poirot marathons for days. It's fun because I can always re-watch these, and I like spotting familiar faces in them. The other day, it was Russell Tovey and Jeremy Northam and the guy who plays Inspector Lynley whose name is escaping me at the moment.
♥ I am still sick but feeling better. My voice is less 'man voice' as my brother called it, but I'm coughing still and not 100% yet.
♥ I read a really fun and entertaining m/m romance novel last night. I blame madam_minnie for me staying up until like 5:30am, seriously, reading because the characters were so engaging (flawed and real and fun), and I loved the romance. You should give it a look if you enjoy original slash fic. Details here. It's a bit long and I wanted to slap the lead more once, but it's a solidly good read, I think.
♥ I revised my tags to group things by character and pairing etc. It's more tidy, which I like. I didn't do some of them for various reasons but I feel accomplished for getting it done. Now if I could just find motivation/time to update my website, which hasn't been updated in many, many months, I'd be doing okay. Heh.

So, this post is for us to have our own little New Year's Eve party! Comment here with fandom/pairing/prompt requests for ficlets (any fandoms because you don't know who might drop by!) [as many as you want, really, so people can be inspired], write comment fic for other people based on requests, write random comment fic based on your own inspiration and post it, sketch requests for prompts, post sketches to inspire ficlets, post lyrics to songs you love, post gifs that you love, post graphics of hot men and sexy women and pretty pictures that inspire you, or, really, post whatever you want! Favorite memories of 2009, favorite movies or music or books or tv shows of 2009, favorite fandom tidbits of 2009 and other 2009 things you want to remember, whether good or bad. We're here to have fun and to celebrate the end of 2009 and the begining of 2010! It might just be a couple of us, but we'll still try to have fun. Of course, the more, the merrier, obviously!

♥ Man, I'm spamming today. Sorry!
♥ I am sick. I've been dealing with a sore throat and talking issues since like Saturday night, but it got so bad last night/this morning, that I had to call into work. It's a lot of coughing, sore throat, sounding like a raspy frog when I talk, and just all around feeling blech.
♥ Since I had planned to be working tonight, I have no NY's Eve plans. Not that I would have even if I wasn't working. Anyway, would anyone be interested in me making some post later for comment fic, gifs, random ogling of hot men/women, or whatever strikes our fancy as a way to celebrate the end of 2009 and start of 2010? It could be fun, as I'd like to force myself to do some drabbles/ficlets/snippet writing, and this would be a good excuse, but it's only worth posting if anyone will be around and is interested in playing around with me. So, thoughts? Would anyone be around to play with me?
♥ I am having a Suchet's Poirot marathon again today. I've been watching his movies/episodes for several days now and still love them all.

First. I hope everyone who celebrates had a great holiday season. We got snow, in Texas, and actually had a white Christmas. The first one since like 1926 or something. My holiday was okay overall. I've been a little sick (bad sore throat) and grumpy lately, which has led to being a bit anti-social. It's supposed to snow/possibly ice over some time tonight and overnight, so I'm just really looking forward to driving home from work later if that does happen. Heh. I did write Buffy fic, though, and I haven't written in that fandom in ages so whee.
Second. Meme. Because I can sneak into my email during my break at work tonight and read things so memes are fun sometimes.
If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you have me do? Then, repost this in your LJ. You might be surprised with the responses you get.
